My mig welding cart idea?
I recently acquired a Century Quick Fix wire feed mig welder from my papaw for 100 dollars. he gave me a small rolling cart with it but its really low to the ground. it has 5 inch fixed wheels in the back and 2 inch casters in the front, what im thinking is put tubing on the back corners and front corners bring it up to the height i need and make a box out of it and then on the top make it slant downward and welding shelves under it and a 2 tank holder on the back, any ideas or opinions greatly appreciated?
I built mine out of scrap angle and 3" casters (2 fixed 2 swivel). On mine, I made it where I can store a chop saw under the welder, a tank on back, a fire extinguisher mount and a tray with welding hood hook. The welder sits about 30" up from the floor and is quite convenient. Where the tank sits, it will accommodate tanks S to A without worries of it becoming too top heavy.
