New invention, but marketing person died. Any suggestions?
My old friend from California asked me to invent something "portable" after his wife died accidently in 2000.
In my spare time I worked and worked on it and developed many versions,-- and have finished two (2) models--, an indoor and outdoor version.
I filed for a patent 2 years ago. This same friend was going to begin marketing it on the West Coast and had made contacts with buyers who he claimed were very interested and would invest money in it.
This guy could sell water to a drowning man. He was a natural salesman who specialized in developing custom computer software for large users.
Now that he is dead, without him, I just can't seem to get going, not because he is gone, but because I live in Florida, still don't have my patent, and I am not close to being the salesman he was.
Any Suggestions?? There is still nothing like it available that I know of.., and it has over 25 possible vertical markets. I have almost totally run out of $$ now.

I actually knew somebody who ran into the same thing! It was with liquid application printing systems.
Anyway you're going to need salespeople, no way around it. Marketing companies can take over nearly everything about your operation, but they're not cheap- like they'll keep 70% of the take.
