Bois will not read SATA ports 3,4?
it doent matter whats plugged in to it it just wont read
i can have 2 hard drives plugged in to sata ports 1,2 and they will read and then i can put the excate same hard drives in to 3,4 and they will not read
is there drivers i can install from my mobo witch is a Asus m2r32-mvp
or can i just buy a new chip for it that i can just plug in like a cmos chip?
or is my hole mobo messed up and i just need a new mobo?

Hey Trevor! I emailed you last week. Maybe you missed it. Normally on an Intel based board (Asus for example) or just about any Micro, Biostar etc. the SATA ports will be activated sequentially on an as needed basis. Otherwise the controller chip will keep your IDE channels open along with the first two SATA ports. You can get the .PDF manual for your mobo from Asus, and see if there is a hardware IDE bypass (which would involve a jumper switch, and not a chip)
