what kind of mig welder should i buy?
I like Lincoln but know miller is the same thing this is what i want to weld gates build cargo trailers for boats or just cargo towing and even in the future build a sand rail i really just want to buy one and use it for every thing from small jobs to the biggest ones like building trailers or a sand rails and I really, really don’t want to have to buy another one because the one I bought was to small.
I also want to know is should I buy used? and if I did what to look for to not get one that brakes right after I buy it the most I want to spend is 2700 i also want it with the flux gas

He said small jobs to "big jobs" like car trailers and sand rails.
Most car trailers use 2x4" or 4x6" and 5/32 to 3/16" thick (.15625" to .18750")
Or 5" channel x 3/16" thick
Race car roll cages is .134" thick
3/4 and 1 ton truck frames are 3/16" thick
A good rule of thumb is
Material thickness 0.001"= 1 ampere so
0.125" thick = 125 amp mig min.

No need to spend $2700 on a mig welder set up, and everything you listed can be done with a 110 volt machine.
Lincoln and miller are NOT the same. Miller Makes Hobart and those two are very close to the same. Miller owns hobart and even uses miller parts on the hobart welders
All 3 of those brands are good. Just get one that turns down to 25 amps or so and up to 140 amps or so.
I have a Hobart handler 140 (140 amp max) 110 volt mig. It will work with flux core wire with out gas, or with solid wire and with gas.
IMHO gas is the only way to go and only way I use mine
I use mine mostly for auto work. Everything from exhaust to body to frames and roll cages. Also used it to build my welding cart, a couple of go karts, fix tools, etc. Roll cages are .134" thick steel (thats over 1/8" thick) . Has no prob welding that
The Hobart 140 is around $500,
Go ahead and buy a larger argon/c02 bottle outright from local welding supply/gas shop . I have the 140 cu ft. bottle. It was $175 when I bought it in 2007. Gas fill on it last time I had it filled 3 mo. ago was $42
buy or make your own welding cart to fit welder, bottle, etc
2 or 3 pairs of good leather welding gloves ($15 each or shop harbor freight and get 3 pairs for $10)
Auto darkening welding helmet.. I use a $60 harbor freight one and it works great . The auto darkening makes welding so much easier.
Get the 10 lbs spool of .030" solid weld wire $30
Everything you need for less than $1,000
You can even weld alum with a good mig welder. You will need the gun liner and drive roll for alum., alum wire, and 100% argon gas to do it though
