does burning non acid flux core solder wire cause any medical problems?????????????
Non-acid core flux is usually rosin. Breathing the fumes from solder flux could be bad for you. Rosin flux is not as bad as acid core, but it's still not good for you. The new 'lead-free' solder mandated in Europe, in addition to the well documented problem of low reliability due to tin whisker growth, has a much higher melting point than real tin-lead solder and therefore the fumes from the flux are much worse. Count on the environmentalists to find a new way to make us sick.
